This grassland bird can be heard singing “Bob White!” emphatically in open grasslands as they forage with their flock. Unfortunately many of our native birds including the Northern Bobwhite are in severe decline due to habitat loss. The best thing you can do is reduce the amount of turf and replace it with native plants.
